A small program called "MSConfig" is allready installed on your computer when you get it.
You go to the start menu -> run -> msconfig / msconfig.exe.
It will allow you to turn on/off which programs that shall automaticly start when you log in to Windows.
It's very handy, and might speed up your start up .

Oh my god! It's a tip of the week! Thanks for sharing this one I've always wondered how to turn off programs from starting up when PC starts. Going to give it a try right away.

I have tried a lot of "optimizing"-software, but they mostly do the same stuff as MSConfig.

I always had this problem with my Yahoo messenger starting up with each time that I would start my PC.
This is a really great tip.
At least now i'll be rid of Yahoo Messenger and also Real pop up.
